So you’re looking to travel internationally this soon, but you’re needing to take care of one of the first steps... a passport?
Keep reading for the simple steps to expedite your passport right in time for your upcoming vacation!
Processing Time
The normal processing time for a passport is 8 to 11 weeks, but to expedite it, there is an additional $60 fee and can shorten the processing time to 5 to 7 weeks.
It's important to note processing time starts on the date that your application is received, not the day you mail your application or apply.
If you pay the $60 fee, but do no receive expedited service, you are allowed to request a refund for the fee.
Walk-ins are are not allowed, so be sure to make an appointment at a Passport Agency or Center.
